Injection Moulding in Auckland CBD
Injection moulded composite veneers or ‘Same day veneers’ involve using a bespoke designed model to create a clear silicone stent that holds a flowable composite resin in place, tooth by tooth, to achieve a custom, aesthetic smile.
This minimally invasive technique is predictable, cost-effective, and requires little or no tooth cutting. It’s an excellent option for closing gaps (diastemas), correcting proportions, and creating a beautiful smile with high polish retention and colour stability. It’s not suitable where significant colour or shape changes are needed or the natural teeth have inconsistent colour.
The Process
Design and Stent Creation: A digital scan or analogies moulding of your teeth is used to create a 3D model of your ideal smile. A clear, custom-fitted silicone stent is then made from this model.
Stent Placement: The clear silicone stent is placed over your teeth.
Composite Resin Injection: A specialised, flowable composite resin from GC is injected through small “vent” holes in the stent, tooth by tooth.
Light Curing: After injection, the composite material is light-cured to harden.
Finishing: Once the composite is set, the stent is removed, and the excess material is cleaned away. The veneers are then finished and polished to achieve a natural look and smooth, healthy feel.
